First quarter recap: Same old stuff

By Calvin Watkins

HOUSTON -- The Cowboys offense held the ball three times in the first quarter and produced just minus-one yard in their preseason game vs. the Houston Texans.

Houston leads, 7-0, thanks to a Matt Schaub 20-yard touchdown pass to Jacoby Jones.

Tony Romo was sacked on his first two possessions on third down and he threw a low throw to Roy E. Williams on another third down play to sum up the three offensive drives.

The Cowboys have produced just one touchdown with their first-team offense, coming last week at San Diego.

The Cowboys are running a vanilla offense, yet, are not getting things done. Marion Barber can't find room to run the ball and Miles Austin has a drop.

On defense, Orlando Sandrick and Alan Ball bit on a play-action pass allowing Jones to get wide open in the end zone for the touchdown catch.
