Players reminded of Baylor suspension
By Calvin Watkins
IRVING -- Taped to every Cowboys player's locker was a story of Baylor guard and leading scorer LaceDarius Dunn getting suspended over his arrest for allegedly hitting his girlfriend.
Linebacker Stephen Hodge said the story was placed there as gentle reminder of how not to conduct yourself in private. Defensive end Jason Hatcher said Cowboys officials do that from time-to-time, just to inform the team of what's going on outside of Valley Ranch.
Hatcher said he the Cowboys don't have players who would hit their wives or girlfriends and they have good character guys.
Baylor coach Scott Drew said he's not sure when Dunn will return to the team but he's been banned from all team activities after he was booked on a felony charge of aggravted assault. Police said Dunn's girlfriend, Lacharlesla Edwards, had her jaw broken in two places during a domestic dispute last week.
Edwards has said Dunn didn't hit her, and her jaw wasn't broken. She said she wants the charge dropped and her boyfriend reinstated to the team.
