Cowboys trying to stop another top RB

By Richard Durrett

IRVING, Texas -- The Cowboys know they must find a way to contain Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw. He's yet another top-tier running back the Cowboys are facing early in this 2010 season.

Bradshaw has rushed for 582 yards, good enough for third in the NFL. It comes a week after Dallas had to defend Adrian Peterson. They've dealt with Tennessee's Chris Johnson and Houston's Arian Foster too.

"It's always a good challenge," Cowboys linebacker Bradie James said about playing against good running backs. "You want to play against the best players as a competitor. You want to go out there and see what you can do. Our job is to stop them. Their job is to try to score as far as defense and offense. But we're looking forward to the matchup."

James said he watched some film of Bradshaw, who James noted is the primary runner and no longer a "changeup" back, and is impressed with his ability to change directions and make cuts.

"Every time you think you've got him, he'll reverse field and take it almost to the house," James said. "He did that a couple of times against us. He's a guy that runs hard. He can score at any time. He's a great challenge."
