Tashard Choice hurt shoulder on fumble
By Todd Archer
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Tashard Choice earned his first start since his rookie year, but Sunday’s game did not go as planned.
He finished with two carries for 8 yards and suffered a shoulder injury on a third-quarter fumble and did not return.
“I messed up, man,” Choice said. “It came out and I lost the ball. I can’t get a break.”
It was Choice’s second fumble in as many games. This has been a trying season for Choice, who was limited in training camp because of a calf injury and has picked up 75 yards on 28 carries this year.
Rookie DeMarco Murray ran for a franchise-record 253 yards on 25 carries with a touchdown, and Phillip Tanner had 34 yards and a score on six carries after Choice was hurt.
“It’s OK,” Choice said. “I’m glad DeMarco had a really good game and Phillip had a good game. I’m glad for those guys. I can’t control that. I’ll be all right. I’ll be good.”
