Owner not optimistic about status of Lee, McBriar
By Tim MacMahon
IRVING, Texas – Owner/general manager Jerry Jones did not sound optimistic that linebacker Sean Lee or punter Mat McBriar would be able to play Sunday against the Seahawks.
Jones said their status was “to be determined,” but added it’s possible one or both players could be ruled out when the official injury report is released Friday afternoon.
McBriar is dealing with a nerve condition that causes pain and weakness in his lower left leg and foot. He’s been limited during practice this week.
Lee, who dislocated his left wrist against the Eagles, has not practiced this week.
"That's not a good sign," Jones said on KRLD-FM. "We really haven't got him comfortable with putting a cast [on] for any length of time. They're trying them on and trying different versions of the cast. We'll see how that works. That and the punter, [Mat] McBriar (injured left foot), are decisions that will be made as we get on down to game time unless we should rule it out today."
