No practice but Danny McCray wants to play
By Todd Archer
IRVING, Texas -- Safety Danny McCray did not practice for the second straight week because of a high left ankle sprain, but he is not ruling himself out of Saturday’s game against Philadelphia.
McCray, who is wearing a protective boot, has played the last two games with the injury after getting hurt at Arizona. He said he will work out before the game to determine whether he can play.
“It’s difficult,” he said of playing without practicing. “The most important thing is your wind, being in shape. You don’t think about it, but then you run down for one kick and you’re tired. I’ve been paying attention in the meetings this week, so I’ll know what we’re doing.”
If McCray cannot play, then Mana Silva, who was signed off Buffalo’s practice squad last week, could be active.
