Tony Romo's window isn't shrinking

By Calvin Watkins

IRVING, Texas -- During a 28-minute chat with reporters following a Tuesday morning workout, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo talked about numerous subjects.

A question about Romo's remaining time with the Cowboys shrinking was asked.

"Well, I don’t think you think that," Romo said. "Until you start to [regress] in your abilities, that doesn’t enter your thoughts. I think for me, it’s just about winning and going out and accomplishing your goals and as long as I continue to do that – and I have been – then we’ll be fine."

He does have two years left on his contract and team officials are open to extending his deal, given he plays well in 2012. Romo is coming off one of his best seasons.

He threw for 4,184 yards, 31 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Romo also compiled a career-high 102.5 quarterback rating.
