Sean Lissemore to start vs. Bucs on Sunday
By Calvin Watkins
IRVING, Texas -- Sean Lissemore is scheduled to make his first career start Sunday against Tampa Bay with Kenyon Coleman out with a knee injury.
Lissemore, in his third season, is fifth on the team with 12 tackles.
The Cowboys' defensive line rotation has taken a hit with injuries to two starters. Nose tackle Jay Ratliff won't play because of a high-ankle sprain and, with Coleman out, it allows rookie defensive end Tyrone Crawford to get more snaps on passing downs. Marcus Spears will backup Lissemore at end.
"When he's out, there's a big void there," defensive coordinator Rob Ryan said of Coleman. "... But we have two outstanding players in there. Sean Lissemore is finally going to get his chance to start. I know he should have been starting forever -- the kid made 10 tackles last week. He's a dynamic player, (and) Josh Brent has been outstanding on the nose.
"We'll be tested. This is a very physical football team. The (Bucs) have an All-Pro guard in there that's tough. But we'll be on point and we're looking forward to this."
