Cowboys defense closer to full strength
By Todd Archer
IRVING, Texas – The Cowboys’ defense figures to be at full strength today with the return of rookie cornerback Morris Claiborne to practice after he sat out Thursday’s session because of an illness.
Outside linebacker Anthony Spencer is also set to practice for the second straight day after he was limited Thursday because of a pectoral strain. Spencer did not play against Chicago and missed the one practice during the bye week as well as Wednesday’s workout.
“We’ll see how he responds to that work and make our next best decision with him going forward,” coach Jason Garrett said. “He’s a big part of our defense though.”
Spencer has missed only five games in his career, sitting out four in 2008 because of a hamstring injury.
