Anthony Spencer inactive again
By Todd Archer
BALTIMORE – Outside linebacker Anthony Spencer will miss his second straight game with a strained pectoral muscle, which is not good news for a Cowboys defense that will attempt to slow Baltimore running back Ray Rice.
Victor Butler started for Spencer on Oct. 1 vs. Chicago, but Alex Albright will get looks at outside linebacker as well, most likely on running downs. The Cowboys could also use more 4-3 as its base defense.
Defensive end Marcus Spears is also inactive with the return of nose tackle Jay Ratliff. It is the first time Spears has been a healthy scratch in his career, although he is slowed a little by a sore knee.
Center Ryan Cook is inactive because of a hamstring injury. He started the last three games in place of Phil Costa, who will return today after overcoming a back injury. With Cook inactive, David Arkin is the backup center and the Cowboys will dress eight offensive linemen.
Punter Brian Moorman, wide receiver Cole Beasley, safety Matt Johnson and linebacker Orie Lemon are also inactive.
