Dan Connor hurts neck, will not return
By Todd Archer
ARLINGTON, Texas – Already without starting inside linebacker Sean Lee after a season-ending toe injury, the Dallas Cowboys lost his replacement, Dan Connor, in the second quarter against the New York Giants.
Connor suffered a neck strain on a run by Ahmad Bradshaw and required medical attention. He suffered a slight stinger last week at Carolina that appeared to trouble him early in the week during practice.
UPDATE: It was just announced with 9:16 left in the third quarter that Dan Connor will not return.
With Connor out, second-year linebacker Orie Lemon is taking over in the base defense. Veteran Ernie Sims signed Wednesday and has been playing in the sub package defenses so far.
