Sunday night is Wednesday night
By Calvin Watkins
IRVING, Texas -- The Cowboys have lost seven consecutive Sunday night games. The last time the Cowboys won a Sunday night game was a 17-0 victory over the Washington Redskins.
Last season the Cowboys played four games on Sunday night and lost two games by a combined six points and were blown out in two others.
Coach Jason Garrett dismissed the idea of the Cowboys' struggles on Sunday night. He pointed out the regular-season opener, occurring on Wednesday night, against the New York Giants as the Cowboys ending their losing streak on 'Sunday night.'
The Cowboys won that game, 24-17.
"We played that Wednesday night game, against the Giants, on Week 1 in some ways that was kind of a Sunday night feel to it," Garrett said Friday morning. "And that worked out pretty well for us. I think you always want to address those things and if something legitimately comes up and hey that's worth changing, you go ahead and change. But change for change sake doesn't really work very well for me."
