Brandon Carr on his pick-six: 'It's about time'
By Tim MacMahon
PHILADELPHIA – Brandon Carr's first thought after his 47-yard interception return for a touchdown: “It’s about time to get the ball in your hands.”
The pick-six that put the Cowboys up two touchdowns over the Eagles early in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s win was the first touchdown of Carr’s five-year career. The more pressing matter in the $50 million corner’s mind was that it was his first interception with a star on his helmet.
“I have been waiting on an interception for a long time,” said Carr, who picked a pass that went off the receiver’s hands on a poorly thrown slant route by backup quarterback Nick Foles. “The ball was able to find itself into my hands and I was able to make a big play. I just wanted to get it and get to the end zone.
“It came at a big time in the game and glad it was me to make the play.”
