Practice report: Tyron Smith on field
By Todd Archer
IRVING, Texas – Less than 24 hours after beating Cleveland, 23-20, in overtime on Sunday, the Cowboys were back on the practice field to get ready for Thursday’s game against Washington.
Left tackle Tyron Smith was in attendance, but the practice is being run at walkthrough pace, so it’s not clear how much his high ankle sprain is bothering him. DeMarco Murray, who has missed the last five games with a sprained foot, was also in attendance.
Safety Danny McCray (hip), safety Charlie Peprah (concussion), center Phil Costa (ankle) and defensive end Sean Lissemore (ankle) were not spotted during the 15 minutes the session was open to the media.
Cornerback Mike Jenkins, who has missed the last two games with a back injury, and center Ryan Cook, who did not play against Cleveland because of a knee injury, were also on the field.
