Tyron Smith, Jay Ratliff do not practice
By Todd Archer
IRVING, Texas – The Cowboys were without eight players at Monday’s abbreviated practice, including left tackle Tyron Smith and nose tackle Jay Ratliff.
Smith suffered a high ankle sprain Sunday against Cleveland, and, according to a source, is doubtful to start Thursday against Washington.
A groin injury kept nose tackle Jay Ratliff from practicing. He has been slowed by an ankle sprain as well for most of the season.
Running back DeMarco Murray also did not participate in practice. He has missed the last five games with a sprained foot. Wide receiver Kevin Ogletree (concussion), safety Charlie Peprah (concussion), defensive end Sean Lissemore (ankle), center Ryan Cook (knee) and center Phil Costa (ankle) also did not practice.
Running back Felix Jones (knee), cornerback Mike Jenkins (back), safety Danny McCray (hip) and fullback Lawrence Vickers (knee) were limited. Tight end John Phillips (ankle) took part in a full workout.
