Ware looking for multi-sack games
By Calvin Watkins
IRVING, Texas -- The last time Cowboys outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware had a full multi-sack game was Sept. 23 when he picked up two sacks against Tampa Bay.
Ware has recorded at least half a sack in every game since.
Last season, Ware had five multi-sack games, including 4.5 sacks the last three weeks of the regular season.
"I'm due for something," Ware said after Wednesday's practice. "I watch those pass rushers and they’ve been playing really well, it’s time for me to blossom a little bit."
Thanksgiving Day Ware takes on the Washington Redskins and quarterback Robert Griffin III. On the season, Griffin has been sacked 22 times and he leads NFL quarterbacks with 613 yards.
It's difficult to sack Griffin because he's so elusive out of the pocket and he doesn't turn the ball over, three interceptions this season.
"He's very consistent in what he does," Ware said. "He knows the system and he knows where to throw the ball and the reads that he has. You can't blitz him, he's a guy like Michael Vick who is going to run for 40 to 50 yards on ya. You got to keep him corralled in the pocket."
