Practice report: DeMarcus Ware to miss third day
By Todd Archer
IRVING, Texas – DeMarcus Ware will miss his third straight day of practice but the Cowboys outside linebacker will not miss Sunday’s game against Washington.
Ware has been slowed by elbow and shoulder injuries and could require offseason surgery to his right shoulder. Since the beginning of the week, Ware said he would play against the Redskins. He was limited in three practices leading into last week’s game against New Orleans.
The only other player missing from Friday’s practice was nose tackle Jay Ratliff, who is recovering from sports hernia surgery.
Safety Matt Johnson is eligible to return to practice today after being placed on the returnable injured reserve list in November, but the rookie is working on the side. He could return to a possible game if the Cowboys advance to the divisional round of the playoffs.
