NFL Top 100: Dez Bryant ranks 35th

By Calvin Watkins

In their annual top-100 rankings, has Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is at No. 35 on the list.

ESPN NFL analyst Mark Schlereth joins Fitzsimmons & Durrett to discuss how Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and others spend lots of time with their receivers and if it matters that Tony Romo is not participating in OTAs.

Listen Listen
Bryant was unranked last season, but when you finish sixth in receiving yards (1,382), third in touchdowns (12) and sixth in receptions of 20 or more yards (19), people take notice.

"This kid is pretty damn good," quarterback Tony Romo said after throwing a touchdown pass to Bryant against the New Orleans Saints last season.

Bryant's speed, power, his ability to break tackles and catch short and deep balls makes him Romo's biggest scoring threat.

Talk about Bryant's off-the-field issues have been silenced as there haven't been any this offseason.

"I don’t even pay attention to having a quiet offseason," Bryant said. "That's not my focus point. It's all about doing the right things. Of course you're supposed to stay out of trouble. You do what you're supposed to do. That's the headline: 'Bryant stays out of trouble.' I'm doing what everybody else is doing, and that’s doing the right thing."
