Claiborne won't play, still needs tickets

By Todd Archer

IRVING, Texas -- Morris Claiborne grew up in Shreveport, La. He attended LSU. There was no game he was looking more forward to playing this year than Sunday's against the New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

"I was looking forward to last year when they came here and then going back there," Claiborne said. "I was really looking forward to it, but I ain't going to make it."

A hamstring injury will keep Claiborne out for his second straight game, and he is not sure he will even make the trip. He has done some running this week but still feels tightness in his leg. He said he will return for the Nov. 24 meeting against the New York Giants following the bye.

"I think it'll help a lot, especially the bye week coming up right after that," Claiborne said. "I think the bye week's going to help a lot just in terms of more treatment and doing more stuff to get back on the field."

While he won't play, his duties for the weekend aren't over. He was responsible to get six tickets.

"I just told my mom I'm getting 6 and that's it," Claiborne said. "Let her pick who's going to come. I don't have nothing to do with it. I've got the tickets, but it's over with."
