Where did former Cowboys coaches land?
By Todd Archer
IRVING, Texas -- The Oakland Raiders have named Chris Boniol their new assistant special teams coach.
Boniol held the same job with the Cowboys from 2010-13 before the two sides mutually agreed to part ways.
Boniol will move from working with Dan Bailey to Sebastian Janikowski, who owns one of the strongest legs in the NFL. Janikowski, however, made only 70 percent of his kicks in 2013 (20-of-31), his lowest percentage since his rookie season in 2000.
Boniol is the fifth former Cowboys assistant to find another job in 2014.
Here’s a look at where the other coaches landed:
Tight ends coach Wes Phillips: Washington Redskins, tight ends coach
Offensive assistant Dave Borgonzi: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, defensive quality control
Secondary assistant Mikal Smith: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, safeties coach
Special teams intern Carlos Polk: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, assistant special teams coach
