IRVING, Texas -- The Cowboys have released linebacker Isaiah Greenhouse, leaving them with three open roster spots that they are not expected to fill immediately.
The first cut-down date is Monday when teams have to pare the roster to 75 players. They have 87 under contract right now.
Greenhouse broke his thumb two weeks ago and had not been with the team in more than a week as they worked toward an injury settlement. He was among the Cowboys’ final cuts last summer and spent a week on the practice squad before he was let go.
