Plenty of local flavor in Tour Championship

October, 25, 2012
McKINNEY, Texas -- Play has begun at the Tour Championship at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney. And there's a nice-sized contigent of local players who will be vying to win the biggest event on the Tour's calendar.

It's a field of 60 players that will compete in the four-round tournament. Some local golfers to watch:

* Paul Haley II. The 24-year-old, who played golf at Georgia Tech, is ninth on the money list and looking for his second win on Tour this season. He won the Chile Classic in March.

* Matt Weibring is ranked 43rd on the money list and is looking for his first win. He did finish second earlier this season.

* Scott Gutschewski, 45th on the list, is from Propser and hoping to add to his total winnings of $116,031.

* Edward Loar, from Dallas, is 46th. He won Panama Claro Championship in March.

* Keller's Tag Ridings is 51st on the money list.
