Southlake Carroll and Aledo made sure a couple of state football championship trophies didn't have to travel far from Cowboys Stadium to their new homes.

On the strength of its Class 5A Division I state championship and unbeaten season, Carroll climbed a spot to No. 6 in the latest ESPNHS POWERADE FAB 50 national rankings. Dallas Skyline, which lost to Carroll in the state semifinals, moved up five spots to No. 14 a week after its season ended.
Other Texas teams in the latest FAB 50 include Class 4A Division I state champion Lake Travis (No. 9), 5A Division II champion Spring Dekaney (No. 34), 5A Division II runner-up Cibolo Steele (44), 4A Division II champion Aledo (45) and Arlington Martin (50).
