McKinney Boyd's Jonovan Griffin picks UTEP

McKinney Boyd senior quarterback Jonovan Griffin has verbally committed to UTEP.

The dual-threat quarterback, who will most likely play receiver or defensive back in college, turned down Texas Tech, Tulane, Memphis and Wyoming to play for the Miners.

Griffin has passed for 921 yards and 10 touchdowns with two interceptions this season. He also boasts a completion percentage of 59.82 percent.

On the ground, Griffin has gained 593 yards on 75 carries for seven touchdowns.

Griffin becomes UTEP's 10th commit.
