Title games among most viewed events in area

Last weekend's state championship games were some of the highest-rated televised high school events ever, according to Fox Sports Net Southwest.

Euless Trinity's loss to Pearland was the sixth highest-rated high school championship all-time in Dallas and the most watched sports event in Dallas/Fort Worth and in Houston on Dec. 18 with a 2.6 household rating. An average of 67,200 homes tuned in in Dallas.

Denton Guyer's loss to Cibolo Steele averaged a 2.5 rating and was seen in an average of 63,800 homes.
