Euless Trinity trails Austin Westlake, 20-14, at halftime of the Class 5A Division I state championship game in San Antonio's Alamodome.

Westlake's offense has scored on three of five possessions, including a 39-yard field goal by Cody Rademacher on the final play of the half.

Westlake quarterback Tanner Price, a Wake Forest recruit, looked sharp in the 70-yard hurry-up drive that led to a field goal. He is 8 of 12 for 96 yards. Collin Shaw has five catches for 76 yards.

But if history repeats, Westlake might be through scoring. In state championship wins in 2005 and 2007 (both over Converse Judson), Trinity allowed no second half points.

Trinity took a brief 14-10 in the second quarter lead after trailing 10-0.

Trinity took advantage of a short field for its first score. It had to go only 29 yards, capped by Damien Hart's 7-yard scoring run.

Patrick Coker's interception set up the second Trinity score. A 42-yard pass from Brandon Carter to Daniel Dorsey led to a 21-yard scoring run by Bobby Brown.
