No signs of decline in Flower Mound's offense

8/29/2011

It doesn’t look like Flower Mound’s offense is going to miss a beat.

Despite losing prolific offensive catalysts QB Paul Millard and RB Hunter Lee to graduation, the Jaguars put up huge numbers in their 42-41 loss to Dallas Jesuit on Friday.

New QB Marshall Williams threw for 505 yards and four touchdowns in addition to scoring two touchdowns on the ground. WR Chas Taylor caught six balls for a staggering 312 yards and four touchdowns.

Flower Mound (0-1) trailed 42-28 heading into the fourth quarter before Williams and the offense roared back.

Williams scored on a 4-yard run in the final seconds to bring Flower Mound within a one point of the lead, but Jesuit broke up the ensuing 2-point conversion attempt, giving the Rangers (1-0) the win.

Flower Mound plays at McKinney Boyd at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
