DeSOTO, Texas -- Tulsa (Okla.) NOAH traditionally has been considered one of the nation’s best home-school football teams for nearly a decade.

DeSoto, considered one of the best teams in the country regardless of classification, showed that it’s no home-school team.

DeSoto, No. 2 in ESPNDallas.com's Class 5A area rankings, put on a clinic Friday night and continued its run of routs, downing NOAH, 61-13, at Eagle Stadium. Ranked fourth in the state and No. 31 in the latest Fab 50 national poll, DeSoto held a 35-0 lead in the first quarter and led 55-7 at the half.

It took DeSoto all of 72 seconds to score its first touchdown, as Devin Rushing scored from 12 yards out. Six different rushers scored for DeSoto, which played its second- and third-team offenses for most of the game. Reserve quarterback Desmon White crossed the goal line twice on only three attempts. DeSoto finished with 339 total yards, 270 on the ground.

NOAH, short for Northeast Oklahoma Association of Home Schools, finished with 192 total yards. NOAH also had three turnovers, two of which DeSoto scored on. Defensive back Vondrick Jackson returned an interception 25 yards for a score in the first quarter, and linebacker Alex Lyons returned a fumble 75 yards for a score just before the end of the first half.
