Area has two finalists for Naismith HS award
Two players from the Dallas-Fort Worth area were named as finalists for Naismith High School Player of the Year awards.
Arlington Grace Prep center Isaiah Austin, a Baylor signee, is one of four finalists for the boys award.
Guard guard Moriah Jefferson, a Connecticut signee from Glenn Heights who is home-schooled, is one of five girls finalists.
Both players were named McDonald's All-Americans last week.
The Naismith awards will be handed out by the Atlanta Tipoff Club at its season-ending banquet March 22 in Atlanta.
