HOUSTON -- Scoring flurries off the bench aren’t out of the ordinary for reigning Sixth Man of the Year Jason Terry.
He had an explosive sidekick in the first half against Houston.
Terry and forward Tim Thomas had 15 points apiece off the pine to give the slumbering Mavericks a spark. They’re the primary reasons the Mavs turned a dozen-point-deficit into a 68-51 halftime lead.
Terry hit all six of his shots from the floor. He’s also already equaled his season high in assists with six, all to Thomas (6-8 FG).
With JJ Barea and Kris Humphries contributing, the bench has accounted for more than half the Mavs’ points.
