Left knee sidelines Dampier vs. Lakers
So much for the Western Conference's top two teams squaring off with fully healthy squads. The Lakers will be without forward Ron Artest, who continues to sit out after suffering a concussion.
Drew Gooden will get the start in place of Dampier, who will be missed against the Lakers' strong front line.
