The biggest things with events like the Super Bowl and NBA All-Star Game are the parties.
With snow knocking kids out of school today and flights getting delayed or canceled in the last 48 hours, we asked a few people throwing parties if they expected their scenes to be a little light.
"If anything, it's helped," said Jermaine Bennett, the Executive Concierge for JB's Celebrity Lounge, which is hosted by Angels outfielder Torii Hunter. "We've been stronger in terms of people wanting to come to our event. People couldn't do anything on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Now they're coming out to our event."
Bennett's event is Saturday at Eddie Deen's Ranch and Banquet Hall. It will feature several athletes, including the Mavericks' Erick Dampier and the Eagles' Donovan McNabb as well as Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp.
We asked Kristina Kolerich, spokesperson for the downtown Dallas location if weather is an issue for them?
"I would say no," Kolerich said. "We've been in full party mode for all our events. It's just been cold and that would be the case with snow or no snow. I think things will be very busy tonight."
If you get to AM/PM tonight, the celebs won't get there until 10:30-11 p.m.
The other hot event in town is Common -- a hip hop artist -- and singer Mary J. Blige performing at the Jet Hangar Party at Love Field on Friday night.
The weather is not expected to affect this event, either.
