Soldier's trash talk rattles Terry

ARLINGTON, Texas – Sgt. William Moleon talked and played a good game.

Moleon, a wounded solider from Fort Hood, earned the right to play Jason Terry in EA Sports NBA Live 10 by winning the “Pro vs. G.I. Joe” tournament at the NBA All-Star Jam Session this week.

Moleon had a simple game plan entering his matchup with JET, which took place at Cowboys Stadium before the All-Star Game and was partially broadcast on the massive video screens.

“I kept talking a lot of trash and got him a little off his game,” Moleon said.

It worked. Moleon’s Cavaliers beat Terry’s Mavericks, 41-37.

Terry acknowledged Moleon’s trash talk was effective, but he came up with another excuse.

“I stayed up late last night and was playing the game,” Terry said. “Should have just come out here and winged it. But, hey, hat’s off to a great competitor.”
