Terry to have surgery Friday afternoon

Jason Terry is scheduled to have surgery Friday at 1:15 p.m. to repair facial injuries suffered after Minnesota guard Corey Brewer's elbow and forearm struck the left side of Terry's face during the third quarter of Wednesday's game.

A source close to the situation said Terry could miss seven to 10 days after the surgery, but it could be longer depending on the severity of the injury. Asked how long he might be sidelined, Terry said via text message: "Not long."

A timetable will be released after the surgery has been performed.
