It's been assumed for some time that the Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets, who meet tonight at the AAC, will be playoff teams.

It became offical Sunday.

The Memphis Grizzlies' overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks clinched playoff berths for the Mavs, Nuggets and Utah Jazz.

The Mavs and Nuggets will have two of the three longest postseason streaks once the playoffs get rolling.

The San Antonio Spurs, barring an epic collapse, will extend their postseason streak to 13 consecutive years. This will be the 10th straight playoff appearance for the Mavs and seventh in a row for the Nuggets. The Detroit Pistons have made the playoffs the last eight years, but that streak will end this season.
