Mavericks drop three spots in rankings

A one-point home loss did three spots' worth of damage to the Mavericks in ESPN.com's weekly NBA Power Rankings./p

Falling Friday night to Memphis was the key factor that dropped the Mavs from No. 6 to No. 9, even though they recovered somewhat Sunday with a double-digit road win over the Los Angeles Clippers./p

"Remember how the Mavs swore they were lasered in on sprucing up last season's 28-13 home record? It took only two home games for the issue to be reraised thanks to a late meltdown against the Zach-less Griz."
