DALLAS -- Dominique Jones was back at the American Airlines Center Wedneday, but it wasn't to rejoin the Dallas Mavericks. The rookie shooting guard who is playing for the D-League Texas Legends suffered a lower back bruise during the Legends' weekend road trip to Fort Wayne.

Jones said he went up for a rebound and landed hard on his tailbone. He was still in some discomfort Wednesday night.

"He's getting treatment and we're hopeful that he'll be back and ready to play very soon," Mavs coach Rick Carlisle said.

Jones said he believes he'll be ready to play in a couple of days.

The Legends play on the road Friday and Saturday at Dakota and Sunday at Rio Grande Valley before returning home Monday night to face Rio Grande Valley again. It's not certain if he'll make the trip.
