Trio of Rockets maintain 4-point lead

HOUSTON -- Kevin Martin, Goran Dragic and Brad Miller are making this 2-seed business pretty tough on the Mavericks.

The third quarter is history and the best the Mavs could do was tie it a few times, but they could never take the lead. The Mavs gave up a top-of-the-arc 3-pointer to Miller and trail 71-67 after three quarters, the same differential as at halftime.

The Rockets, who are without Luis Scola and Kyle Lowry, have used seven players. Martin has 21 points, Dragic has 14 and Miller has 10.

The Mavs are being led by Dirk Nowitzki (19 points) and Shawn Marion (16). Jason Terry is also in double digits with 10 points, but that's it. Dallas is 2-of-13 from 3-point range and is getting buried on the boards. The Rockets are doing an especially good job on the offensive glass.

Twelve minutes to get it together if the 2-seed means anything to this team. And it might not.
