Jason Kidd thinks his 3-point shot is close
"It looks great," Kidd said. "In and out, you can’t do anything. The first one was long and a couple of them were in and out. You learn really quickly as a shooter that those are fine, those are OK misses. You can live with those, so we’ll just keep shooting."
Kidd certainly hasn't stopped shooting as his percentage has plummeted. No matter how you cut the numbers, they don't come out looking good. Since Kidd returned from his week of rest, he is 1-of-10 from beyond the arc. In the four games he's played in April, Kidd is 1-of-20. In his last 15 games, Kidd is 16-of-89 (17.8 percent) and is averaging 5.0 points.
Expand it out to March 1 and Kidd is 24-of-108 on 3-pointers (22.2 percent).
Kidd's 3-point shot has been an integral part of the Mavs' offense since his arrival. He shot it better than 40 percent last season, but has faltered to 33.6 percent.
"I think he’s fine," Mavs coach Rick Carlisle said. "I like the way he stepped into it [Monday]. Two or three of them were in and out. He’s just got to keep doing what he’s been doing his whole career, keep being aggressive."
