Someone's happy not to be playing Mavs?

DALLAS -- Denver Nuggets coach George Karl might have wanted to play the Dallas Mavericks in the first round, but one of his players who watched Saturday night's opener between the Mavs and the Portland Trail Blazers isn't so sure about that.

Second-year guard Ty Lawson apparently was impressed with the Mavs. During the fourth quarter, Lawson took to his Twitter feed to let the masses in on his thoughts about Dallas as well as his coach, who told 103.3 FM's Ian Fitzsimmons prior to the playoff pairings being set that he'd prefer to play the Mavs over the more athletic Oklahoma City Thunder. The Nuggets and Thunder open their series late tonight.

Here's Lawson's tweet: "Good game between Dallas and Portland. Good thing we didn't end up getting Dallas. Coach Karl lost his mind."

Shortly after Lawson posted that tweet, around 11:30 p.m. CT, it was deleted from his feed.

Wonder if coach Karl keeps up with Twitter.
