PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Dallas Mavericks celebrated the 2006 Western Conference title after a Game 6 win in Phoenix. Ever since, Game 6 has been bad news. The Mavs will try to reverse three consecutive Game 6 losses tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden.

Here's a look at the three Game 6 defeats:

*2006 NBA Finals, Heat 95, Mavs 92: Lost a 30-23 first-quarter lead at home and Jason Terry's game-tying 3 bounced off the back rim.

*2007 First round, Warriors 111, Mavs 86: Stephen Jackson scored 13 points in an 18-0 Warriors run in the third quarter at raucous Oracle Arena.

*2010 First round, Spurs 97, Mavs 87: Trailed 22-8 after one quarter in San Antonio and 31-10 early in the second.

What's the main difference between those three Game 6 losses and tonight's Game 6? The Mavs were eliminated in each one, while this time around Dallas is in the driver's seat to close out the series.
