The rematch of the 2006 Finals is set.
Just like the Mavericks, the Miami Heat roll into the Finals after a remarkable rally to finish off the conference finals in five games.
The Heat erased a 12-point deficit in the final 3:02 in the 83-80 win. Miami closed out the series with an 18-3 run fueled by co-superstars LeBron James and Dwyane Wade (remember him, Dallas?). They evenly split 16 points down the stretch, with fellow blockbuster summer signee Chris Bosh contributing the other two points.
That comeback comes on the heels of the Mavs slamming the door on the young Thunder with 17-2 and 14-4 runs in the last two games of the West finals.
So now the stage is set: Dirk Nowitzki and his deep, veteran supporting cast vs. the SuperFriends and whoever Heat management could afford to play with the terrific trio.
