MIAMI -- Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki caught passes and dribbled with the left hand that has a torn tendon in the middle finger in pregame warmups leading to Thursday's Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
Nowitzki was wearing a splint covered by white tape as he received passes and took shots.
He injured the finger toward the end of Game 1 when he tried to strip the ball from Chris Bosh. Nowitzki said he doesn't think the finger will be a problem and indicated Thursday morning that he would try two different splints before settling on one by game time.
Nowitzki scored 27 points on 7-of-18 shooting in Game 1. He made four foul shots and missed two jumpers after the injury.
