Mavs finish third slowly and trail, 69-65

DALLAS -- The Miami Heat closed the third quarter with an 8-2 run and lead the Mavericks, 69-65, after three quarters.

Dwyane Wade took control with 12 points in the quarter to give him a game-high 25 points. Shawn Marion picked up the slack in the third quarter for the Mavs with the news coming out that Dirk Nowitzki is struggling with the flu and a 102-degree temperature. Nowitzki, after starting the game 3-of-3, is now 4-of-13 for 11 points. Marion has a team-high 16 points after getting 10 in the third.

But it was the Heat that finished the quarter with momentum, and they're 12 minutes away from putting Dallas in what historically has been an insurmountable position.

Chris Bosh has 22 for the Heat while LeBron James is struggling just as badly as Nowitzki. James benefitted from a breakaway slam and had a nice fadeaway, but has just eight points.
