DALLAS -- The hope that Dallas' defense would be ahead of its offense? Well, that might be the case, but that's not saying much.

Since going on a run after an 11-11 tie, the Heat have not looked back and the Mavs have looked horrendous.

Already, Vince Carter was benched, presumably, to start the second half. Delonte West got the nod at shooting guard. Midway through the third quarter, Lamar Odom was hit with two technical fouls and ejected for arguing.

Other than the banner raising, it has not been a Christmas to remember.

LeBron James has 33 points to lead all scorers. Dirk Nowitzki has 21 for the Mavs. Carter, Odom and West have a combined nine points.
