Our weekly look at which Mavs stock has risen and fallen most:

Streaking
STOCK UP
Ian Mahinmi – The 25-year-old Frenchman has emerged as legitimate backup center. He averaged 9.2 points on 16-of-21 shooting, 6.4 rebounds and 1.0 blocks while the Mavs went 3-2 over the last week. The highlight was Mahinmi’s career-high 19-point performance in the win over the Raptors, but the most encouraging thing is the athletic big man has been consistent. Coach Rick Carlisle can count on Mahinmi, who contributed in the Finals after Brendan Haywood injured his hip, to play 20-plus minutes per games. The Mavs have outscored opponents by 31 points with Mahinmi on the floor in the last five games.

Slumping
STOCK DOWN
Dirk Nowitzki – This is due solely to the blowout loss to the Spurs, and we could have pretty much picked any player from that miserable performance. However, it was such an uncharacteristically unproductive performance by Nowitzki that he stuck out below the rest of the Mavs. He scored only six points on 3-of-11 shooting, his fewest in a game since Dec. 18, 2009 against the Rockets, when he left after 10 minutes with Carl Landry’s teeth embedded in his elbow. The face of the Mavs’ franchise hadn’t scored six or fewer points in a game in which he played at least 20 minutes since Dec. 3, 2003.
