DALLAS -- The Kings might as well get the jet engines cranking.

As is the case with the Mavs, the Kings are playing their fourth game in five nights. Unlike the Mavs, the Kings look absolutely awful.

There are plenty of stats that indicate just how badly Dallas dominated the first half. The shooting percentages probably make the strongest case: Mavs 52.4, Kings 17.4.

Actually, here's an even better one: The Mavs have never held an opponent to fewer points in a first half. The previous low was 24 by the Vancouver Grizzlies on March 13, 1999.

It's pointless to track runs at this point. The first half has been one long run for the Mavs, whose key players ought to get plenty of rest in the second half.
