Dirk Nowitzki is a distant 3rd in ASG voting
The top two vote-getters are named All-Stars, and Dirk (354,434 votes) is a distant third behind Blake Griffin (619,913) and runaway leader Kevin Durant (973,152), two young guns who, frankly, have put up far superior numbers in the first four weeks of the season. Nowitzki is seeking an 11th consecutive All-Star invite as a reserve, which the Finals MVP undoubtedly will receive.
As for the four other Mavs on the All-Star ballot, Lamar Odom sits eighth among forwards, Jason Kidd is ninth among guards and Jason Terry and Shawn Marion are not in the top 10 at their respective positions.
