Our weekly look at which Mavs stock has risen and fallen most:

Streaking
STOCK UP
Shawn Marion – The compressed schedule hasn’t prevented the 33-year-old Matrix from playing like he’s in his prime. The last week might have been his best in a Mavericks uniform. He averaged 20 points on 55-percent shooting, 7.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals to lead the Mavs to a 3-1 record. Marion continues to be the Mavs’ defensive tone-setter and is filling in as the go-to guy while Dirk Nowitzki tries to get right. “He’s our best player right now,” Jason Kidd said. “We’ve got to give him some help.”

Slumping
STOCK DOWN
Lamar Odom – So much for the thought that more minutes at power forward while Nowitzki sits might spark Odom’s game. He’s been benched by coach Rick Carlisle for long stretches of the last two games. Odom might have hit rock bottom during Wednesday night’s loss to the Timberwolves, when he went 2-of-14 from the floor and didn’t have any assists in 16 minutes. “We believe in Lamar,” Carlisle said. “This has been a struggle so far, but this guy can play.”
