DALLAS -- The Mavs opened up a 14-point lead, 77-63, with 5:23 to go in the period and then the Jazz finally showed some life. Behind Paul Millsap, the Jazz cut it to 82-80.

Dallas, though, quickly took it back up to eight with a Jason Terry 3-pointer and spectacular Roddy Beaubois drive for an and-1 with 5.5 seconds left. Coach Rick Carlisle won't like the ending as Utah rushed it upcourt and Enes Kanter got an offensive rebound putback to close to six.

Roddy has 19 for the Mavs and Jason Terry has 18. Millsap has 20 for Utah.
